- Mission
Building the future by providing an environment and curriculum that promotes holistic development of children.
- Goals
At our school, we believe children need a strong foundation to thrive—not just in academics, but also in life. That’s why we focus on helping them build both essential learning skills and social-emotional skills. When children feel confident, connected, and understood, they are better prepared to explore, discover, and grow in every area of learning.
Our creative curriculum is designed to nurture the whole child through:
- Social-emotional growth building confidence, empathy, cooperation, and resilience
- Reading and a love of stories
- Writing and early literacy skills
- Phonological awareness for strong language development
- Number and data sense to spark logical thinking
- Science as inquiry , exploring and investigating through play
- Art appreciation and creative expression
- Dramatic play that celebrates families and culture
- Music and movement to express joy and creativity
- Healthy habits for a strong body and mind
By weaving social-emotional learning into every part of our day, we give children the tools to succeed not only in school, but also in building meaningful relationships and developing a lifelong love of learning.
- Philosophy
- Community-Driven Approach
At Goomer Academy, our philosophy is rooted in a collaborative partnership between parents and educators. We believe that by working closely together, we can best support each child’s unique potential and provide them with a supportive environment where they can thrive.
- Holistic Development
Safety and nurturing are paramount, and our creative curriculum ensures children not only build foundational academic skills but also develop crucial social-emotional skills, character, and a love for creative exploration.
- Personalized Education
We empower children to become well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges. Our approach is centered on personalized learning, where we instill values and encourage children to challenge themselves. Through a balanced mix of academics and play, we ensure every child is ready to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Our Facility
At Goomer Academy, we are proud to offer a state-of-the-art facility designed for the modern needs of early childhood education. Located at 2920 Fowler Road in the vibrant Evergreen neighborhood of San Jose, our building has been recently upgraded to provide the safest and most enriching environment for your child.
Our thoughtfully designed classrooms are the foundation of our indoor learning space, featuring dedicated areas for creative arts, hands-on science, quiet reading, and collaborative play. Beyond our welcoming interiors, we have expanded our commitment to holistic development with the addition of a brand-new outdoor learning space. This innovative area serves as an extension of our classrooms, allowing children to engage in educational activities in a natural, open-air setting. It’s the perfect place for sensory exploration, gardening projects, and science experiments that connect children with the world around them.
The safety and security of your child are our top priorities. To ensure a secure environment, our facility is fully gated, with parents and authorized visitors requiring a unique access code to enter. We also have CCTV cameras strategically placed both inside and around the building, providing continuous monitoring and an added layer of security. Furthermore, our entire building has been upgraded with the latest fire alarm system, featuring advanced sensors and monitoring to provide the highest level of protection.
From the moment you step into our academy, you will feel the energy of a community dedicated to a child’s growth and well-being. We are more than just a place of education; we are a secure and stimulating second home where children can feel confident, supported, and ready to learn and play.
- Founder and Executive Director
As the Executive Director of Goomer Academy, Deepti Goomer brings a unique blend of engineering precision and a deep passion for early childhood development to her role. After a successful career as a Research Scientist with the Indian Department of Defence, her life’s path changed profoundly with the birth of her second daughter. This inspired her to pursue formal education in child development and a Program Director Permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
In 2006, Deepti launched a licensed family daycare from her home, building a foundation of nurturing care and hands-on learning. This dedication to providing a safe and enriching environment ultimately led her to establish Goomer Academy in 2011.
Today, Deepti is the driving force behind the academy’s philosophy and operations. She is deeply involved in every aspect of the school, from overseeing human resources and parent relations to implementing educational programs and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Her commitment is to create a community where every child is empowered to explore, learn, and grow confidently, setting them up for a lifetime of success.
